BVR trash pick for Thanksgiving week will shift a day.
Thursday, Nov. 28, will pick up on Friday, and Friday, Nov. 29, will pick up on Saturday.
“Elvis” will be at the Senior Center on Monday, December 2 at 11 a.m.
For $5 you can take pictures with Elvis and receive a teddy bear. This event is a fundraiser for the center.

Alcoa retirees meet Dec. 12
Rockdale Alcoa Retirees will hold their next meeting on Thursday, Dec. 12, at Thorndale Veterans Memorial Hall (formerly the VFW Hall).
Doors open at 5 p.m. with a business meeting at 5:45 p.m. A turkey and dressing meal will be $15. All members are asked to bring a dessert.
Attendees are asked to bring canned goods for the Christmas Food Drive.

Aggie Moms fundraiser
The Milam County Aggie Moms are holding a scholarship fundraiser for students. Participants may “Gig or Hook” their opposing team with a sign placed in the student’s yard.
“We figured we would put a new twist to an old rivalry and have some fun with this much anticipated game. All proceeds are distributed as scholarships to students at Texas A&M University,” said Cynthia Gonzales, Milam County Aggie Moms treasurer.
There is still time to participate with the fundraiser running through November 30.
