Annual Oney Toy Run Saturday
The 19th annual Buddy Oney Toy Run will be held this Saturday, Dec. 7, with registration starting at 9 a.m. at The Ranch.
This annual event raises money for several different organizations to provide Christmas presents for Milam County’s less fortunate children.
The ride, which leaves at 11 a.m. with stops at Cameron VFW Post 2010, Rockdale VFW Post 6525, Cyndi’s Hawg Hang Out and Cliff’s Tavern.
There is a $20 fee per rider, $25 with a passenger or a new toy valued at $25. The fee includes food for the participants following the ride.
After the ride there will be a 50/50 drawing, door prizes and a game of chance.

Genealogy society meets Tuesday
Milam County Genealogy Society will hold their Tuesday, Dec. 10, meeting at 2 p.m. in Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library.

St. Joseph Christmas Bazaar Saturday
St. Joseph Catholic Church’s Ladies Society Annual Christmas Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. 2 p.m. Saturday. The lunch menu includes chicken stew, chili, chicken salad sandwiches, tuna sandwiches, chips and crackers.
There will be homemade baked goods, silent auction items and a country store for Christmas purchases.
Fundraising tickets are $1 per ticket or six tickets for $5. Items include gift cards in the amount of $500, $250, $100, $75 and $50, a folding utility wagon, a crocheted afghan and a hand-woven rug.
