Texas Master Naturalist Courses begin on Jan. 16, from 6 to 9 p.m. in Cameron.

“If you are passionate about native Texas plants and animals you are welcome to joins us,” said organizer Linda Burgess.

Attendees will learn how to better manage their property from a wildlife and natural resource conservation perspective and help educate the community.

Class size is limited to 20 students and registration is $150.

Eastside meets at Moon Brew January 30th

An Eastside Conversation will be held at Moon Brew Coffee Co., 109 N. Main St., on Jan. 30 at 6:30 p.m.

Attendees will meet Mayor Ward Roddam, hear updates from the city and given an opportunity to ask questions.

All citizens are welcome to attend.

St. Paul BBQ fundraiser

St. Paul Lutheran Church and School will hold its annual barbecue dinner and live auction fundraiser on Sunday, Feb. 2, at the Thorndale Fireman’s Hall on FM 486 North.

The meal will consist of brisket with sauce, noodles, pinto beans, potato salad, pickles, onions and bread. Plates are $15 each, served from 11 a.m. to 1.p.m. with dine-in or to-go plates available.
