MVFD chili super set for
Body

The Little River Basin Master Gardener Association has extended the registration date for its 2025 training program to Feb. 1. This course contains the curriculum necessary to become a Master Gardener in Milam County.

The t raining program will run from Feb. 5 through mid-May on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Cameron Chamber of Commerce conference room.

The Little River Basin Master Gardener Association is a nonprofit, volunteer organization affiliated with the Texas A&M Agri-Life Extension Service.

Call 979-253-3303 to register or reserve a seat in the class. The organization is looking for more participation from the Rockdale area.

The Milano Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Chili Supper on Feb. 15 at the fire station at 4:30 p.m.

The e vening w i l l include live music by the Burleson County Cowboy Church Amazing Grace Band and Paul Schlesinger. The fundraiser will include 10 chances to win prizes ranging from $250 to $550, along with both silent and live auctions. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20.

Donations are being accepted for the auction and can be dropped off at the fire station any time before the event.
