Jubi lee Day s a r e almost here.
The Rockdale Fair Association will hold the annual barbecue cookoff April 11 and 12 at Fair Park and includes food, dancing, a carnival, a rodeo and $5,000 in prize money.
Cookoff entry is $200 and includes three meat categories, a camp spot and four weekend passes.
Jackpot categories are margarita, bloody Mary, salsa, exotic meat and seafood.

April 14-16
The Rockdale Ministerial Alliance will be holding Holy Week Luncheons on April 14, 15, 16 from noon to 1 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church. A light lunch with dessert will be provided.
Each day a different pastor from town will present a message. Bring a non-perishable food item for Rockdale Christian Services. Freewill offerings for the Ministerial Alliance will be accepted. The community is invited.
Milano VFD fundraiser
April 10-12
Milano Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary will hold their annual garage sale fundraiser April 10-12 at the Milano Fire Station at 305 East Avenue C.
Thursday and Friday hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday’s hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
