Meadowbrook slated to host Baccalaureate
Meadowbrook Baptist Church will host the Baccalaureate Service for the Rockdale High School graduating class of 2019 at 3 p.m. Sunday.
All graduating seniors are welcome to attend the service and are asked to wear their caps and gowns.
The sermon will be delivered by Minister Jason Hollinger of Murray Street Church of Christ.
Rev. Steve Ammons, host pastor, said some of the graduates will have a part in the service. There are 102 candidates for graduation.
Commencement is set for 7:30 p.m. May 24 at Tiger Stadium.
Surplus food visit set Thursday at KC Hall
Central Texas Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry will have a distribution at 9 a.m. Thursday, at the KC Hall east of Rockdale.
Since the distribution relies totally on volunteer help, volunteers will be needed and greatly appreciated, according to Deanie Houser, spokesperson.
Contact Houser at 512-446-3336 for further information. Distributions are held the third Thursday of each month. Clients are asked to bring sacks, boxes or containers for groceries.
