Next Reporter
one day early,
deadlines listed
With the July Fourth holiday falling on a Thursday, the next Reporter will be published, and go into the mail, and on the newsstands one day early.
That means some significant changes to deadlines for the issue, which will still be dated for Thursday, July 4.
That means Friday deadlines for most items, 12-noon for news, 10 a.m. for letters to the editor.
That’s Friday, not Monday and certainly not Tuesday.
Ad copy also needs to be turned in on Friday.
While Friday is the latest we can take those, Thursday, and even Wednesday, copy is encouraged for next week.
Normal deadlines will return for the next Reporter, dated for July 11.
The early paper is a courtesy for our advertisers, and readers, enabling ads to reach our readers before the holiday.
If The Reporter followed its regular Wednesday printing day, with the postal system taking a holiday the next day, ads linked with the Fourth of July would not reach any print subscribers until after the holiday.
