Schedules listed for 4th of July
Thursday is July 4th and the usual closings are in order for Rockdale.
City Hall will be closed, as will the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library.
But there will be garbage pickup as usual.
Local financial institutions will be closed for the holiday.
The post office will be closed Thursday.
Many Rockdale and area businesses will close for the holiday, including The Rockdale Reporter.
Fair Park is the site of this year’s annual fireworks display.

Tiger Stadium track is closed until July 8th
The track at Rock-dale ISD’s Tiger Stadium closed Monday for eight days.
Pam Kaufmann, RISD assistant superintendent said the closing is to facilitate track re-striping.
It will reopen on Tuesday, July 9, she said.
Signs are posted on all entrances to the facility, Kaufmann said.
