Garage sales all over city this weekend
It’s that weekend again.
Rockdale turns into a giant flea market on Labor Day weekend and that’s the case Friday through Sunday.
The annual event is sponsored by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce.
On page 7A you will find a list of locations of 28 garage sales in and around the city, along with a map to help you track down all those bargains.

Labor Day closings announced
Monday is Labor Day and all South Milam County schools will have a vacation day.
• Rockdale, Milano, Thorndale and Thorndale St. Paul’s and Gause will be out.
• There will be regularly-scheduled garbage pickup in Rockdale on Monday and throughout next week.
• The Rockdale City Library and City Hall will be closed.
• At the Rockdale post office, the window will be closed and there will be no home delivery.
• Financial institutions will be closed.
• The Rockdale Reporter will be closed but the paper will print as usual on Wednesday. Ad and news copy deadlines will be moved up to noon on Friday.
