A blood drive scheduled for Thursday at the KC Hall is still on, accord ing to the A merican Red Cross.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Tatiana Olivares of Rockdale is blood program leader.
It won’t necessarily be a walk-in drive as in the past and you can probably guess why.
“Due to the current shelter-in-place situation, and social distancing guidelines, we are highly encouraging everyone to schedule an appointment,” Jessica Amaro, American Red Cross account manager for the blood drive said.
“However, if donors don’t show up as scheduled we might make allowances and take walkins,” she said
The drive was planned with a 34-unit goal. Officials said some slots in the 10 a.m. to 1 p.m time frame had not been filled by appointment heading into the weekend.
“As a ‘thank-you,’ Amazon is offering our donors an e-card,” Amaro said.
