Chick-fil-A food truck rescheduled
The Rockdale Municipal Development District announced that the Chick-fil-A food truck that was scheduled to be here in August, is now rescheduled for Saturday.
“Please stop by Downtown Rockdale in the MDD parking lot on Main Street from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.,” said Jim Gibson, Director of Economic Development.
Texas Workforce to hold job fair on October 16th
Workforce Solutions of Central Texas, Rockdale office is hosting the next Milam County Fall Job Fair event on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 9 a.m. to 12-noon. The event will be held at the Yards of Cameron, located at 301 Adams Ave.
“This will be another great opportunity to showcase your company and your available job openings as it will be open to all job seekers in Milam County and surrounding areas,” according to Julia Cardona, Workforce Director.
“Please reserve your spot by Friday, Oct. 8. Tables, chairs and Wi-Fi service will be provided,” she said.
Milam County records 71st COVID death
Milam County reported its 71st death on Monday night marking three COVID-related deaths this week, according to Milam County Judge Steve Young.
This week’s vaccination clinics will be held on Thursday, Sept. 30, in Rockdale at the old hospital building from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On Friday it will be held at Gause United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Both clinics offer the Pfizer vaccine to ages 12 and older and the Moderna vaccine to ages 18 and older.
