Homecoming dance set for Friday night
Local churches, the school, the city and businesses are sponsoring a homecoming dance for RHS students on Friday at the Fair Park Pavilion from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
The Athletic Booster Club will provide hamburgers and hot dogs and the churches will provide chips and drinks.
Businesses will provide prizes for students in a drawing to help promote the event. The Student Council will clean up after the event. Rockdale PD will provide security.
“With such great support, it will be a fun time for our students,” said Raymon Puente, spokesman.
Fall Band Concert to be held Monday
This year’s Fall Band Concert will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Rockdale High School gym.
According to band director Adrian Acevedo, “The concert will feature performances by the Rockdale Junior High Beginning Band, the RJH Symphonic Band, the RHS Jazz Band and the RHS Big Blue Band.”
Admission is free and the general public is invited.”
