Community Outreach Thanksgiving dinner

The annual Thanksgiving dinner will again be at the First Baptist Church on Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Volunteers are needed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Choo-Choo Chili at the Depot Saturday

The Rockdale Historical Society is selling tickets for the annual Choo-Choo Chili at the I&GN Depot Museum which will be held Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tickets are $10 and will include homemade chili and dessert. This year it will be held in drive-through fashion.

Christmas Tree Lighting Nov. 18

This year’s Rockdale Downtown Association’s Christmas Tree lighting at Wolf Park will be held on Thursday, Nov. 18, at 6 p.m.

Enjoy free chili and hot chocolate while it lasts sponsored by the RDA and cooked by the nice folks at Climate Control AC & Heat.

Rockdale’s new 32-foot Christmas Tree will be lit at 7 p.m. Feel free to bring lawn chairs for seating.
