The American Legion Post 358 will be boxing care packages for active duty military from Milam County on Saturday as part of their new #Post 358Cares program.
The post received a major grant from H-E-B to kick things off.

Yard of the Month returns in April
Rockdale Earth Day is gearing up to start awarding Yard of the Month beginning in April and running through September.
Nominations for April are due by March 23. Yards must be within the city limits. Send your nominations to rockdaleearthday@yahoo.com.
Tanglewood VFD fundraiser set for Saturday
The Tanglewood VFD will hold its annual fish fry on Saturday from 4 p.m. until sold out.
Plates will be available for $12 and include breaded and seasoned fish, French fries, hush puppies, homemade coleslaw, green beans and dessert.
Proceeds will help with fire equipment, gear and general operating expenses. The Tanglewood VFD is located at 1041 West CR 416 and the plates are for drive through only.
Tickets for fundraising items include a 65 inch Samsung TV, a pellet grill, a Dewalt atomic tool set, a $250 gift certificate to Academy and a Blackstone grill.
