St. John’s United Methodist Church’s annual Chili Supper will be held at the church on Thursday, Feb. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The chili suppers will be available to eat in the fellowship hall or to take home. Chili with all the fixings and dessert are $9 which is payable at the door.
County set to meet Tuesday
Bring CASA to Milam County is now CASA of Milam County. The organization received their 501(c)3 certificate on Monday.
CASA of Milam County will hold their next meeting on Tuesday at the Thorndale ISD administration building at 7 p.m.
“This meeting is open to everyone interested in our mission,” according to chairperson Nancy Zenner.

Rockdale ISD school board
Julia Cardona has filed to keep her Place 7 position on the RISD Board of Trustees. The election will be held on May 6.
Janice Keen has filed for a place on the ballot for Place 6 on the board.
As of press time this week no announcement has been made for either of the open city council positions.
