RYBA to hold fundraiser Saturday
The Rockdale Youth Baseball Association will hold its annual chili fundraiser at The Ranch on Saturday, starting at 11 a.m., with all proceeds going to maintenance and facility costs throughout the season.
There will also be both live and silent auctions, live music, a cornhole tournament and drawings.
Genealogical society to meet Tuesday
The Milam County Genealogical Society will hold their February meeting at the Lucy Hill Patterson Library in Rockdale.
The meeting will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Visitors are always welcome.
Salty Cemetery meeting set for Monday
The Salty Cemetery A ssociation w ill hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the Salty Church Annex according to Dana Caffey, spokesperson.
All persons with loved ones buried at the cemetery are invited to attend.
Alcoa retirees meet March 9 in Thorndale
Rockdale Alcoa Retirees will hold their first meeting of 2023 on Thursday, March 9, at Thorndale Veteran’s Memorial Hall. Doors open at 5 p.m.
A business meeting begins at 5:45 p.m. and will be followed by a fajita dinner for $15. The desserts group will be last names beginning with M through Z.
