First Friday Coffee set
First Friday Coffee at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday.
The sponsor for March is the Milam Community Theater.
Salty Cemetery meeting set for Monday
The Salty Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the Salty Church Annex according to Dana Caffey, spokesperson.
All persons with loved ones buried at the cemetery are invited to attend.
Alcoa retirees meet March 9 in Thorndale
Rockdale Alcoa Retirees will hold their first meeting of 2023 on Thursday, March 9, at Thorndale Veteran’s Memorial Hall. Doors open at 5 p.m.
A business meeting begins at 5:45 p.m. and will be followed by a fajita dinner for $15. The desserts group will be last names beginning with M through Z.

Milam Master Gardener plant sale Saturday
The annual Milam County Master Gardener Plant Sale is scheduled for Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at The Venue (old Bea’s Kitchen), 101 E. Main St., in Cameron.
A drawing will be conducted at the sale with winners announced throughout the day.
Attendees are invited to come early to have the best selection of natives, Earth-Kind, pollinators, vegetables, succulents, herbs, roses and lots of blooming plants.
Wagons will be limited, so feel free to bring your own. The Little River Basin Master Gardener Association is a nonprofit, volunteer organization affiliated with the Milam County AgriLife Extension Service.
