‘Stash Your Trash’ set for March 25th
The City of Rockdale’s annual spring Stash Your Trash event will be held on Saturday, March 25, from 8 a.m. to 12-noon at Fair Park.
Containers will be available for free disposal of miscellaneous household items like old furniture or mattresses.
Limbs will not be accepted at this event but may be taken to 290 Beverly Dr.
The city will not accept motor oil, tires, batteries or any items which contain refrigerant, hazardous chemicals or paint.

Gause VFD fundraiser to be held April 1
The Gause Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual barbecue fundraiser on Saturday, April 1, from 11 a.m. until sold out.
Brisket plates with sausage, pinto beans and potato salad will be for sale for $15 per plate.
The ladies auxiliary will also hold a silent auction.
Yard of the Month due March 22nd
Nominations for Rockdale Earth Day’s Yard of the Month award for April are due by Wednesday, March 22.
This year, any yard with a Rockdale mailing address can be nominated. Winning homeowners will receive a $25 gift certificate to Bloomers Garden Center in Elgin.
