Halloween may be wet Wednesday
Wednesday (Oct. 31) is Halloween and, according to weather forecasts, its probably going to be a wet one.
That means drivers are asked to use extreme caution in looking out for trick-or-treaters.
Traditional Rockdale trick-or-treating guidelines are unofficial and “self imposed” but it’s recommended the activity be confined to 5 to 8 p.m. and for children sixth grade and below.
Ironically, the forecast is for perfect fall weather beginning Thursday and lasting through the weekend.
Lunch-learn set Nov. 7th
The Rockdale Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center, along with the Texas Workforce Commission, will host a Lunch-and-Learn on business and personal tax law changes from 12-noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the Workforce Center.
Speaker will be Marvin Clement, CPA.
The workshop and lunch are free but those interested in attending are asked to call Denise Brock at 512-446-2030 or Julia Cardona at 512-446-6440, extension 7012, so organizers can get a head count.
