The fourth annual Apache Pass Cook Off & Car Show is this Friday and Saturday. One day passes are available for $15 and two-day passes for $25.
There will be live music by Kenny Orts as well as both retail and food vendors.
The barbecue cookoff will include brisket, ribs and chicken along with margaritas and Bloody Marys. Games with prizes include cornhole and washers.
There w ill be over $7,000 in payouts from all the contests.
The Tiger Athletic Boosters Club is asking for businesses and organizations to be a part of this year’s homecoming parade.

Quilt show in Giddings on Saturday
The Happy Stitchers Quilt Show will be held Sept. 15-16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The American Legion Post 276 at 1502 US 77 in Giddings.
There will be a bed turning at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day. A day of quilts, vendors, raffle baskets and food. Admission is $7.

Yoga classes at former
Snug building
Yoga classes are being offered at the former Snug building at 121 E. Cameron downtown.
Classes are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:30 a.m. and Saturdays at 9 a.m.
Prices are donation-based and suggested is $10.
