The City of Rockdale will host a tire recycling opportunity for Milam County citizens from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Fair park, 200 Walnut St.
Tires only are accepted and only from individuals. No business tires. Both passenger car and tractor tires will be accepted.
The event is open to all Milam County residents.
Grande meeting
November 2nd
The Milam County Rancheria Grande Chapter of the El Camino Real de los Tejas National Trail Association will have their next meeting at 10 a.m. Nov. 2 at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library.
The guest speaker will be Dave Cunningham who will speak about Old Nashville and its significant importance in the early history of Milam County and The Republic of Texas.
Guests are always welcome.
Help with water bills at Senior
Center today
There will be a meeting at the Senior Center on Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for people who need assistance paying their water bill.
Attendees must bring a water bill; provide birth certificate, Social Security card and a list of all members of the household; also must provide income for the past 30 days for all family members including SNAP, child support, TANF, SSA/SSI or VA benefits.
