Tonkawa tribe signs agreement for Sugarloaf Mountain
Somet imes when you dare to dream, they dream actually comes true.
The Tonkawa Tribe signed a management agreement for Sugarloaf Mountain with El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail Association. It is the tribe’s intention to finalize the purchase of Sugarloaf Mountain, which is also known as Red Mountain and La Tortuga, on Dec. 12.
A recognition ceremony was held at Sugarloaf Bridge at 2 p.m. Dec. 12.

Coat drive for the elderly ends December 20th
A winter apparel and coat drive sponsored by The Grace Project and Family and Friends of St. Joseph Cemetery is happening now and runs through Dec. 20.
Donations are being taken for elderly people in need, such as a new coat, scarf or beanie. Drop off donations at the East Bell Taphouse. Donations dropped off this Saturday, Dec. 16, will receive $1 off draft beer.
