MLK parade to be held Monday
Rockdale’s Mar t in Luther King parade and celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with Rev. Danny Mitchell as Grand Marshal.
The parade will begin at the intersection of Ackerman and Cameron Avenue and end at Sumuel Park, where there will be food, drinks and music.
Lee’s Landing closes after 14 years service
This past Sunday was the last day of operation for Lee’s Landing restaurant.
Owner Lee Parsley said he will continue the catering part of his business from the current kitchen.
Parsley said, “I’d like to thank all my loyal customers for their business and my parent’s business as well.”
St. Paul’s BBQ fundraiser set for February 4
St. Paul Lutheran Church and School will hold their annual barbecue dinner and live auction on Sunday, Feb. 4, at the Thorndale Firemen’s Hall on North FM 486 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with dine-in or to-go plates available.
Plates will include brisket, noodles, pinto beans, potato salad, pickles, onions and bread for $15. Desserts are available for a free will donation.
