Custom car, truck show Jan. 20-21
The a n nu a l Te xas Showdown Freedom Rally Custom Truck and Car Show will be held in Downtown, Texas (9112 North FM 908) Jan.2021.
There are many categories for the vehicles as well as vendors and a chili cookoff with monetary prizes.

Genealogical society meeting set at library
The Milam County Genealogical Society will hold their January meeting at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

RISD board meetings change
Rockdale ISD monthly board of trustees meetings will now begin at 5 p.m. and, due to construction projects, the meetings will be held in the Rockdale High School library located at 500 Childress, until further notice. Monthly board meetings are scheduled for the third Monday of each month, with the exception of holidays.
Additionally, Rockdale ISD Board of Trustees will begin meeting for monthly workshops. These workshops are designed to delve deeper into specific topics and facilitate discussions amongst board members. Workshops will start at 3 p.m. and will be held at the same location, the Rockdale High School library.
