St. John’s United Methodist Church will hold their annual chili supper on Thursday, Feb. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
Tickets are $13 and are available at the door and includes chili, cornbread, dessert of your choice and a drink and can be taken home or eaten there.
A portion of the proceeds will support the youth of Rockdale with activities including Vacation Bible School, food and snacks for school dances and summer church camp.
The Milano Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual chili supper, gun giveaway, silent and live auction Saturday at the Milano VFD Fire Station starting at 4:30 p.m.
Tickets for the giveaway are currently being sold and there are 10 chances to win with prizes ranging from $250$550. The tickets are one for $5 or five for $20.
If you would like to donate items for the live or silent auction you can do so at any time between now and the event.

MCT to present Chase’s ‘Harvey’
Milam Community Theater will present the Pulitzer-prize winning play, “Harvey,” by Mary Chase, Feb. 24 and 25 and March 2 and 3 at the Williams Event Center in Cameron.
Opening night of this show, Saturday, Feb. 24, includes a dinner theater and is $45 per person. Tickets to the other shows are $18 each. The deadline for reservations is Friday, Feb. 16.
Show times are 7 p.m. for the Saturday performances and 2 p.m. for the Sunday matinees. Tickets are available on the theater’s website, milamcommunitytheater. com.
