The spring “Meet the Tigers” will be held on Saturday at the Rockdale Tiger baseball field and will include several events.
A Facebook auction begins at 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday’s events include an alumni game at 10 a.m. with registration beginning at 9:15 a.m.
A fish fry dinner begins at 11 a.m. Plates are $12 and include fresh fried fish, beans, coleslaw and hush puppies.

The Class of 2027’s second annual bake sale will be held on Friday, March 29, in front of Walmart from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or until sold out.
County to hold town hall meetings
Three town hall meetings will be held in Rockdale, Cameron and Thorndale on the possibility of moving the ad valorem tax collections from the County Tax Assessor-Collections office to the County Appraisal District.
Rockdale’s meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Texas Workforce Solutions conference room at the One Stop, Cameron’s will be Wednesday, March 27, at Bea’s Kitchen in the Milam County Annex, and Thorndale’s will be Thursday, March 28, at the Milam County Pct. 4 annex.
Milano VFD auxiliary seeks donations
The Milano Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary is gearing up for their annual spring garage sale that will be held in April.
Donations are needed and may be dropped off at the fire department during weekdays at the back door. Large items can be picked up. Call Kain Dodd at 979436-5723 for pickup.
