Seth Mulac, and the rest of the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department, didn’t have far to go at 8:50 a.m. last Wednesday for this fire in a detached garage at the Hector Garcia residence, 340 West Davilla. The RVFD Fire Station is on the corner of Bell and Wilcox just over a block away. Fire Chief Ward Roddam said an electrical failure is believed to be the fire’s cause. Volunteers kept the blaze from spreading to the house.
