These photos were taken from approximately the same vantage point Nov. 13, 2019, and last week at 1300 and 1328 East Cameron (US 79), property adjudicated as a “junkyard” and seized by Milam County for cleanup. County Judge Steve Young said since the auction the cleanup has been active every day at an approximately cost, so far, of $100,000. A Nov. 13 auction brought in about $76,000 for the project. Young said trash is being hauled off and about 3,500 tires are being recycled. The project is expected to be complete next month.
