Michael Craig and Charlie McGregor from KRXT radio, along with South Milam United Way volunteers Lisa Benford and Gaye Bland, work a morning shift at the annual United Way-benefit radiothon held Thursday at Brett’s Backyard Barbecue in Rockdale. This year’s event raised $16,000 for the UW that supports worthwhile agencies in the local area and directors said the UW is o the way to raising $23,000 Other volunteers during the event were Paul Dixon and Gwen Dixon. Working at home were Ashley Crittendon, Peggy Morton, Malda Burns, Johnnielyn Brown, Margaret Plentl,(Milano), Robbie Westbrook (Milano) and Tonya Sumner (Thorndale).
