The Rancheria Grande Chapter meeting will be held at 10.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library.
Topics will include the continued effort to open the Baumann/Conner Trail, the protection of Sugarloaf Mountain, the preservation of historical records and stories, the maintenance and preservation of roadway signage and spreading information about El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail (ElCaT).
The group will then have an information table at the First Friday Coffee at the library on Friday, Jan. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon which will be sponsored by Texas Naturalist El Camino Real Chapter.
“Interested citizens are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about and help spread the word about the Trail Association, our chapter and the trail itself,” said Rancheria Grande Chair Joyce Conner.
