It was another long day Tuesday in a week of long days concerning COVID-19.
Out of 68 people tested Tuesday, 19 tested positive. In the past week the county has tested 581 people with 139 testing positive for a rate countywide of 24 percent.
There were also four people admitted to hospitals Tuesday.
THE NUMBERS—COVID-19 cases this week have been measured Wednesday to Tuesday.
• Cumulative cases – 716, up 42 from 674.
• Active cases (PCR test) – 40, which is down from last week’s 43.
• Confirmed (antigen) cases – 337, up 72 from 265.
• Hospitalized – 9, up 7 from last week’s 2.
• Deaths – 9, no change.
TESTING—Free antigen (93 percent accurate) testing continues as follows:
• Wednesday—Milano, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Milano Fire Station.
• Thursday—Cameron, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Cameron Fire Station.
• Friday—Buckholts, 8 a.m. to 12-noon, 111 West Main.
• Monday, Rockdale, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., former Richards Memorial Hospital.
• Tuesday—Thorndale, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Fireman’s Hall.
