Remembering

With officers from many departments on hand, and half-staff flags fluttering in the breeze, Milam County, and its law enforcement community, remembered the late Sheriff David Greene on Friday, one day before the first anniversary of his death from a heart attack. Sheriff Chris White walks away after dedicating a back door of the Milam County Law Enforcement Center in honor of Greene, noting it was a place where Greene often held conversations. A plaque was also unveiled. Many members of the Greene family, along with the public, were on hand for the brief ceremony. Also see page 3A.
