The annual Christmas Turkey Giveaway, sponsored by 23 local business firms through the Rockdale Camber of Commerce, has begun.
The Rockdale Reporter is one of those firms and this year’s turkey giveaways by the newspaper will go to persons familiar with the paper’s history.
Here’s how it works:
Patrons were invited to come by the newspaper office before the close of business Tuesday, Nov. 20, to answer five questions:
• When was The Rockdale Reporter established?
• How long has The Reporter been in the Cooke family?
• What does “Reporter ads get the grapes mean?”
• What was the most recent special section we published?
• When the Rockdale Tigers win their first state football championship?
Those answering all five questions correctly will have their names put into a drawing to win five certificates redeemable for turkeys.
Twenty-two other businesses are also participating in the turkey giveaway. Certificates for the others are being awarded through KRXT-FM.
