The end of a school year is an exciting time. It is a time when we get to recognize all of the accomplishments of our students. I enjoy the many events that take place as we get ready to close out the school year: banquets, ceremonies, concerts and more.

Through it all, I want to make sure we recognize the important role that our community plays in the lives of our students. Thank you for your support throughout the year. When someone asks me what makes Rockdale High School stand out, my response always starts with - we have a community that supports us and rallies around those who need help.

This week is a busy week. Tuesday we kick things off at 6:30 p.m. with our band concert in the auditorium. On Wednesday, we will host our RHS Awards Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. in our competition gym. During this time we will honor the many academic achievements of our students, and we will also see the support of our community through the many local scholarships that are awarded.

On Thursday, we will turn to our student athletes and recognize them at our Spring Athletic Banquet. Then on Friday, The Class of 2023 will watch the sunrise together as they start the last week of their high school career.

The following week, on Friday, May 26, starting at 8 p.m., our seniors will receive their diplomas. I want to invite our community to come celebrate with us as the Class of 2023 officially enters a new chapter in their life. I want to thank everyone for their support of this group of students and we hope to see you at graduation.
