Rockdale ISD trustees named Renee Lee as the junior high school’s new principal at the May 17 regular board meeting.
Lee will replace current principal Kelly Blair, who resigned.
Lee has had successful experiences leading middle schools in public education, having served in Jarrell ISD as assistant principal at Jarrell Middle School, and currently in Beaumont ISD at Smith Middle School, where she is the principal.
Lee earned a bachelor’s degree in education from LeTourneau University and a master’s degree in education from Concordia University. She is pursuing her Doctorate of Education at Concordia.
Lee, along with her husband and four children, are excited for this great opportunity, she said.
“We are excited Ms. Lee is joining our team and expect great things from her. She values continuous improvement as seen in her desire for each student to work at being better today than yesterday,” Dr. Denise Monzingo, RISD superintendent, said.
