Our Little River Healthcare School Based Clinics are continuing to provide outstanding healthcare services on all four RISD campuses.

Since the board approval for this partnership, the Rockdale ISD administration and the Little River Health Care staff have been working together to ensure high quality healthcare on each campus. Clinics are available to serve Rockdale ISD students & staff members. Services range from wellness exams, various treatments in the office, sports physicals and immunizations.

This year we have a new nurse Kristin Gainer. She has been with LRHC for two years.

She is assisted in the clinic by Peggy Formby who began working in the clinics last school year.

Campus school nurses will continue their student and staff member services as always, but separate medical services provided by LRHC will be an option for students and staff members.

Services provided by the School Based Health Clinics are the same, in most cases, as the services provided at the downtown clinic, and patients will have to provide health insurance information and make copayments when using the facility.

We recommend parents accompany their students during all appointments, however if a student’s parent is unable to make it to an appointment for various reasons, a treatment consent form is available to allow a student to be treated without a parent being present.

The form is available on the RISD Website or at the campus principal’s office. The form must be filled out and signed prior to treatment without a parent.

Clinics are available on each campus, so services are available on a rotating basis each day of the week. Hours are 8:30a.m. to 4:30 pm. Call 512-430-5200 to set up an appointment.
