The Rockdale ISD School Board voted Monday night to move second-grade students to the Rockdale Intermediate campus, beginning with the 2021-2022 school year.
Superintendent, Dr. Denise Monzingo said “Rockdale Intermediate has the space available to include second grade with minimal disruption. Moving the second grade off the elementary campus allows the district to make plans for possible renovations to the older sections of that building. In the spring, first and second graders will have the opportunity to tour their new campus. Staff committees are being formed at both campuses to make this a smooth transition for students and staff.
