The Board of Trustees of the Rockdale Independent School District met Dec. 14 in the Rockdale ISD Conference Center in regular session and for a team training.
The board approved a proposal submitted by Climate Control AC & Heating effective Jan. 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 with a possible one year extension following original terms.
Requests for competitive sealed proposals were emailed to six vendors.
The board approved a resolution regarding extension of time to use emergency paid sick leave for the 2020-2021 school year.
In the event Congress does not extend the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), a continuation of Emergency Paid Sick Leave (EPSL) for the 2020-2021 school year.
Kay Douglas with Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) led the governance team, the board members and Superintendent.
The team building session is part of continuing education requirements of local school board members each year.
The topic requested for training and discussion, at the time of scheduling, was Social Justice.
