RISD REPORT
Rockdale’s most recent graduating class, the Class of 2019, was the first class of students that entered as freshmen on the Foundation with Endorsement graduation plan.
With the help of teachers, CTE faculty, counselors, principals, and district staff, this class really set the bar for earning endorsements.
Congratulations to last year’s class, and best of luck to this year’s class as they continue their quest for excellence.
You can see the results of their work in the graphic below.
For far too long students were placed in CTE courses as an afterthought, or as it fit in the studentÎs schedule1
Now, we take a much closer look at how to ensure that students are getting the chance to gain a greater depth of nnowledge in a subject matter of choice and passion, rather than surface level knowledge in many different areas.
These are called Programs of Study (POS). The POS designates in which area a student may be earning an Endorsement.
