Two local companies were awarded facade grants at the Rockdale Municipal Development District’s (RMDD) board meeting on Monday night.
Liberty Family Dental will be given $1,000 to improve their signage in front of the office on Meadow Drive, and Di-Hard Fitness will receive the program limit of $10,000 for signage on both the front and back of its building on Josie Lane.
City of Rockdale’s Well No. 11 at the airport received an upgrade and now produces 400 to 600 gallons of water per minute, which, RMDD Economic Director Jim Gibson said is perfect for what the city has going on at the moment. Eventually the city will need either another improved well or a new well that will produce 800 to 1,000 gallons per minute depending on development.
