At Monday night’s Rockdale Municipal Development Districts (RMDD) board meeting Economic Director Jim Gibson announced that Bargas Development Services had gone before the city council earlier this month to ask for PUD, PID and TIRZ agreements with the city similar to what Cornerstone Subdivision asked for. Bargas Development Group is the company developing the Republic Ridge subdivision on Texas Street.
Texas Medical Distributors was on hand to receive a different kind of facade grant from the board. This facade grant was offered through their digital grant program and the company will receive matching funds up to $10,000 to rework their website. They are located at 403 N. US 77.
The RMDD Board’s current officers were renewed unanimously with Nathan Bland as president, John King as vice president, Brian Wallis as treasurer and Denise Wallace as secretary.
RMDD’s sales tax was up 16% over October of 2023.
