—Rockdale Junior High teacher and coach Ethan Brinkley (far left) and RISD’s Public Information Management System Coordinator Laura Gibbs (far right) received R.O.A.R. awards at last week’s Rockdale School Board meeting. The R.O.A.R. program (Rockdale Outstanding Actions Recognized) gives recognition to employees who are nominated by their peers, students, parents or anyone in the community for going above and beyond. On hand for the awards were (L-R) Brinkley, school board members Charles Miles, Amy Ogea Casas, Karen Laughlin, Janice Keen, Jason Barcak and Gibbs.
