—The town is named for a rock. There’s going to be a rock incorporated into the landscaping at the new Rockdale Police Department, now under construction at the corner of Cameron (US 79) and Green. City Manager Chris Whittaker said Dusty Albreight moved the rock to the site where construction crews took over while a small crowd of city officials looked on. There’s also a rock as part of the landscaping at City Hall.
