International Day of Peace is Thursday, September 21, and Rockdale is getting into the spirit of it with A Night of Peace celebrat ion at Wolf Park at 7:30 p.m. sponsored by Rockdale Earth Day.
Rockdale High School students will be involved as well as well as musical numbers by Sparky and Leah Thompson, Melanie Todd and the KD Band.
Prayers will be given by John Pruett and Reverend Janice Krause. Presentations of world and U.S. maps will be presented by students and local artists will show off their “peace posts” which will be set up all over town after the celebration.
Light refreshments and visiting will start at 8:30 p.m.
