International Day of Peace is Thursday, Sept. 21, and Rockdale is gett i ng i nto t he spi r it of it with “A Night of Peace” celebration at Wolf Park at 7:30 p.m., spons ored by Rockdale Earth Day.
Rockdale High School students will be involved as well as well as musical numbers by Sparky and Leah Thompson and the KCD Band.
Prayers will be given by John Pruett and Reverend Janice Krause.
World and U.S. maps will be pres ented by students and local artists will show off their “peace posts” which will be set up all over town after the celebration.
Light refreshments and visiting will start at 8:30 p.m.
