Trevor Williams Wells, 25, of Rockdale was arrested Saturday at 6:56 p.m. on four warrants. He was arrested for burglary of a habitation along with warrants issued for charges of failure to change address/ name, failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to appear, and assault causes bodily injury family violence.

Ladarrell Wallace, 43, of Austin was arrested Monday at 9:05 a.m. on a warrant for failure to comply with sex offender duty to register life/annual with previous conviction.

Two others were arrested over the past week, one for assault by contact and another for criminal trespass.

Two accidents involving vehicles were reported during the past week.

A truck driven by Donald Lawson, 75, of Corpus Christi reportedly backed into a gas pump at a convenience store on US 79. The accident happened Monday around 3 p.m.

Police also were sent out to a department store on US 79 after a deer was hit by the driver of a Jeep Monday around 11:30 p.m.

One ticket was issued over the past week for a violation of a city ordinance while another was handed out to someone driving with an invalid driver’s license. Another driver was given a ticket for driving with a license that had expired.

There was a citation given for a theft under $100 during the past week.

Six drivers were given speeding tickets.

Officers also heard reports of harassment and credit card abuse/debit card abuse of an elderly person.

Officers responded to 210 calls for service this week with 102 of those calls being 911 calls.
