Plans for Rockdale Christmas Roundup are now underway. Applications can be picked up at The Rockdale Reporter, Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library, One-Stop Center, Rockdale Federal Credit Union, Citizens National Bank, Classic Bank, Rockdale Chamber of Commerce, Rockdale City Hall and local churches.
The deadline to nominate families or individuals who are in need of assistance this Christmas is Dec. 4.
Approximately 300 families were served by this program last year. Christmas Roundup is making every effort to work with other agencies in the community to serve as many homes as possible.
Monetary donations can be deposited in the Christmas Roundup account at Citizens National Bank or sent to P.O. Box 766, Rockdale, TX 76567.
Toy donations can be dropped off at Rockdale Intermediate School, Citizens Bank or Rockdale Signs & Photograpy during normal business hours.
Due to COVID-19, boxes will not be delivered this year. All families will need to make arrangements to pick up their boxes at the KC Hall in Rockdale. Pick up dates are scheduled for Dec. 14 from 4 to 7 p.m., and Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Volunteers are needed, especially Dec. 14 and 15 to help with box pick up.
