Mayor John King officially declared Friday, April 22, as Earth Day in Rockdale. To honor Earth Day, Rockdale Earth Day members decorated the library with all things Earth Day. There are displays about recycling, gardening, the posters from the junior high artists about the Rockdale Earth Day organization.
There will be an Earth Day Spring Celebration on Tuesday, April 19, from 9 to 11 a.m. Enjoy the Earth Day library displays with lemonade, iced tea, bottled water, desserts and finger foods. See photos on page 8A.
