Rockdale Fair Association is gearing up for the 2024 Rockdale Fair and Rodeo which begins on Wednesday, Oct. 16, with family night at the carnival.
The Miss Rockdale Fair Pageant will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, in the Rockdale High School auditorium, with the children’s pageants starting at 2 p.m.
Musical acts are Marcos Orozco on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 10 p.m., on Friday, Oct.18 Crossroads and T. Graham Brown from 8 to 10 p.m. and T.G. Sheppard from 10:30 to midnight. Saturday, Oct. 19 showcases Braxton Keith from 9 to 10:30 p.m. and Stoney Larue from 11 to 12:30 p.m.
Attendees will enjoy the Youth Livestock Show, the Ag Mechanics display, carnival, food vendors, baked goods contest, barbecue cookoff, arts and crafts show, cornhole, washer and domino tournaments, inflatables for the kids, a car show, barrel and team roping events and a rodeo each night starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 for an adult three-day pass and $20 for children and seniors. Tickets are available from the Miss Fair Queen contestants (see below) and their sponsors.
