The Rockdale Police Department made five felony arrests during the past week including:
• Senaida Leigh Leslie, 40, Rockdale, was arrested on Tuesday on a Milam County warrant for probation violation of an original charge of possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram).
• Colby Wayne Englemann, 40, Lexington was arrested on Tuesday for possession of controlled substance (less than 1 gram).
• Saul Morin Palao, 22, Big Lake, was arrested on Thursday for assault family/ household member impeding breath and circulation and also for injury to a child with the intent of bodily injury.
• Domingo Llanas II, 36, Rockdale, was arrested on Sunday for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram).
• Travis Glenn-Lewis Beard, 45, Lexington, was transported from Bastrop County Jail on Sunday by Officer Dillan Ford on local warrants including two counts for burglary of a building and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Arrests
One person was arrested for public intoxication third or more.
Citations Twelve citations were
Twelve citations were handed out during the past week including two for no drivers license, and one each for name or address change later than 30 days, displaying expired registration, driving while license invalid, expired registration, failure to yield right of way to an emergency vehicle, failure to dim headlights, failure to use turn signal, no drivers license, operating vehicle without a license plate, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.
Incidents
Rockdale Police Officers responded to twelve incidents during the past week including two for outstanding warrants, and one each for resisting arrest search or transport, taking weapon from officer, public intoxication with three prior convictions, assault and family violence impeding breath/ circulation, injury to a child with intent for bodily injury, fraud, possession of controlled substance (less than 1 gram), and failure to stop and render aid.
Accidents
RPD officers responded to three accidents during the past week.
Officer Harden responded Wednesday to the 700 block of West Cameron Avenue for a five-vehicle accident with no injuries.
Officers Parker and Ford responded on Sunday along with AMR and the Rockdale VFD to a three-vehicle accident in front of Rubio Septic on West Cameron Avenue with one vehicle having fled the scene before the police were called and remains at large.
Officer Harden responded on Monday to a two-vehicle minor accident in front of Banda’s on West US 79 with no injuries.
